About Changing Tides Treatment

Changing Tides Treatment is a dual diagnosis, state-licensed, intensive outpatient center for substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. In addition to the state license through the DCHS, we are Joint Commission accredited, which is the highest standard for clinical care.

Changing Tides Treatment offers levels of care providing intensive outpatient programs and counseling services to aid you on your journey of recovery. Our programs are for individuals that are 18 and over and are suffering from substance use disorders (alcohol/ drugs) and co-occurring disorders. Our programs are suitable for adults who are willing and able to commit to regular attendance and active participation to sustain their recovery and relapse prevention. We provide our clients to have a detailed BPS and clinical assessment to place them in the appropriate level of care. We can also help place you in a sober living.  The sober living home gives individuals the extra structure and accountability they need to continue to work or go to school when not in programming. Individuals can begin implementing the recovery skills acquired through the program. They have the opportunity to experience their recovery in either a safe, supportive group setting, or individually tailored environment. By doing this, they begin to establish the foundation for sustaining a lifetime of sobriety. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) sessions are offered five days a week; morning, afternoon, and evening sessions are available. The program locations are in Ventura, and Oxnard Shores, California.

What is an intervention?

Intervention Definition: The act of interfering with the outcome or course especially of a condition or process (as to prevent harm or improve functioning). In the world of recovery, an intervention is a carefully planned process by which friends and family of an addict may confront that person about their addiction.

How how long will it take?

There are several basic treatment options to choose from based on your specific need. The general length of rehab programs are:

  • 30-day program
  • 60-day program
  • 90-day program
  • Extended programs, such as sober living facilities or halfway houses

How much does treatment cost?

Insurance is one of the most common ways of paying for rehab. The amount that insurance covers will depend on the insurer and what the health provider accepts.

We accept most private PPO Insurance as well as private pay:

  • Private insurance
  • Private Pay
  • Financing Available
  • Please call us to discuss options

Should I travel for rehab?

Sometimes, traveling to a new city or state is the most effective option for rehab, as some cities may not have high-quality treatment options available to their residents.  Some of the benefits are:

  • taking a journey toward recovery
  • You may be tempted to leave and go home to a familiar setting before fully completing the program so it helps to be in a healthy environment.
  • Having that physical separation can reinforce their commitment to sobriety and your treatment plan
