Doctor Tipu is a board certified Family Physician and board eligible Addiction Specialist. As a primary care provider, he understands the complexity of addiction and how it interacts with all aspects of health. He completed an obstetrics fellowship and has a special interest in addiction during pregnancy and is the county’s only pregnancy addiction specialist.

I am an LMFT who has had several years working in the field of addiction and mental health. This has ranged from working in a school setting to different types of treatment centers. Over the years, I have gained an understanding of the different ways to treat substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders along with valuable experience treating Clients with mild to severe mental health concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, issues of incarceration, school problems, depression, trauma, psychosis, substance use

Jeremy Brickell/ Program Manager
I’m the Program Manager here at Changing Tides Treatment and I have worked in this field for many years. I have completed my schooling and currently hold a CATC II status through ACCBC and I’m pursuing my bachelor’s degree at Cal State University Channel Islands. I’m truly passionate about helping people that are struggling with addiction. I am a recovering addict and have six years of sobriety.

Gilbert Espinosa/ AOD Counselor
My name is Gilbert Espinosa. I’m a CAADE-certified addictions counselor, CATC-1, with seven years of experience in multiple treatment modalities. I’m very passionate about helping others navigate their journeys of personal freedom from addictions. I strive to motivate, educate, and inspire individuals, and groups, to discover and live up to their full potential. My experience overcoming addiction ignited my desire to see others free from suffering. I continue to educate myself and aspire to help others as much as possible.

Lisa Gustafson/ Client Advocate
I have worked in the treatment field for many years. I am currently a RADT and in the process of becoming a certified AOD Counselor. I am also an addict with over 12 years of sobriety. I facilitate groups and help with managing clients. All of us at Changing Tides Treatment try to pass on the gift of recovery to all the clients that come to us for help. My passion is to help struggling addicts find themselves again and return to being productive members of society. I love our team here at Changing Tides Treatment, we all do our best to help those in need, and I am proud to be a part of such a team.

Brian Walker/ Client Advocate
I am a registered addictions counselor with ACCBC. I am working on becoming certified through Oxnard Community College and working towards becoming a Licensed Registered Nurse. I have a big heart for people in recovery and it is my passion to help others find lasting relief from active addiction and learn to live free.
